Building a Film & TV Production Protocol

As we quickly move towards the fall semester, many of our institutions struggle with the decision to bring students back to campus or continue with virtual formats. As a film and television production professor, teaching remotely can present unique challenges as production is a collaborative art. Production education is most effective in person, face to face. In the best interest of ALL of our well being, face to face education may not be practical or possible. This Friday, the production faculty at Prairie View A&M University hosts a roundtable/brainstorming Zoom session to share best practices and potential solutions for production education. We have a broad mix of programs in this invitation: HBCUs/MSIs/PWIs, world-renown film programs, and programs in early development. This session aims to forge new relationships and preserve the mission of offering our students fulfilling production education while ensuring safety.
